The excursion
Discover Bandite di Scarlino aboard a quad, crossing dirt trails, Mediterranean scrub, fords, and climbs, with views over Maremma. The described route is 35 km long and takes place predominantly off-road; passages with different difficulty levels are indicated, suitable for beginners and experts. A personalized experience can be requested.
Two formulas are offered, with the same route and different final tastings: La Bella includes a sausage and cheese barbecue accompanied by local wine; La Allegra includes wines from Cantina La Pierotta and an aperitif with typical products.
The experience includes quad rental, guiding and assistance along the route, helmet and under-helmet, and the tasting provided by the chosen formula. The text also indicates fuel, lunch or snack in the woods, and, upon request, shoes and socks.
Departure is at Bandite di Scarlino. A morning session at 10:30 and an afternoon session at 15:30 are indicated; the described program lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes.
A category B driving license is required to drive; the passenger must be at least 10 years old. Trekking or gym shoes are recommended; in summer, a bandana or scarf is advised, while in winter and mid-seasons gloves and a k-way are recommended.
Availability must be checked by contacting the organization before or after booking: booking alone does not guarantee that places are free. A credit card is required as a guarantee, without charge; payment is made on site before departure and the booking is confirmed by phone call. In case of cancellation more than 48 hours before the event, no charge is applied. Twenty-four hours before departure, an SMS is sent with details, recommended parking, and meeting point: it is recommended to check the phone number indicated in the confirmation email.
