The excursion
Live a special experience in nature in the company of alpacas, among countryside, woods, and the Ombrone river.
The activity begins with a briefing of about 15 minutes, during which the staff explains how to behave with the alpacas, how to lead them, and how to best enjoy the experience while respecting the animals.
Then you set off for a walk of about 1 hour and 15 minutes, along a route of about 2.5 km in a natural park, crossing countryside and woods up to the area of the Ombrone river.
It is not necessary to be expert hikers, but you must be able to walk the route without difficulty.
Upon return, the experience continues with an interactive visit of about 30 minutes: you enter the enclosures together with the alpacas, with the possibility to feed them, pet them, and take photographs.
The visit also includes a lesson dedicated to alpacas, during which curiosities and characteristics of these animals are told, and it is possible to learn about and touch their special natural fiber.
The total duration of the experience, including briefing, walk, interactive visit, and stay at the farm, is about 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Different participation options are available: Adult with alpaca (16+), Accompanying adult (16+), Youth 10–15 years, and Children 1–9 years.
Important: dogs are not allowed in the experience and cannot be left inside the car during the activity. The route is not suitable for strollers, which cannot be brought during the walk.
