The excursion
The Motorboat Polaris departs from the port of Castiglione della Pescaia to take you on a discovery of the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago. You can choose among three itineraries: Giglio Island on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; Elba Island on Wednesday and Sunday; Giannutri and Giglio Island only on Tuesday. The indicated duration is about 9 hours; the Tuesday tour is described as a full-day excursion.
For Giglio, departure is at 09:15 and arrival at Giglio Porto is expected around 10:30. After free time on the island, the motorboat departs at 17:00; return is expected around 18:30. For Elba, departure is at 09:15 to Portoferraio, with an estimated arrival at 10:35; departure is at 16:45 and return is expected around 18:30. On Tuesday, departure is at 08:45: after arrival at Giannutri, expected around 10:15, there is a stop of about two hours. Then the journey continues to Giglio, with an estimated arrival at 13:15 and a long free stop; departure at 17:20 and return expected around 18:45.
During free time you can visit the villages, reach the beaches or, at Giannutri, swim and discover the remains of the Roman Villa. Guided tours organized by the onboard staff are optional. Arrival and return times are indicative and may vary depending on weather and sea conditions and the Captain's instructions; the information communicated onboard is authoritative. Twenty-four hours before departure you will receive an SMS with details, recommended parking, and meeting point: check the phone number in the confirmation email.
