The excursion
At Agriturismo La Pulledraia, in the Maremma Park, you can get close to the world of falconry in a countryside setting, among olive trees, farm animals, and the Maremma pine forest. The Falconers of Maremma team will guide you through the discovery of birds of prey rescued in Maremma centers: you will be able to observe hawks, buzzards, and other birds of prey up close and learn to recognize them. Those who arrive early can try to hold them on their fist with the appropriate glove, assisted by the falconers.
The group then moves to the flight field, passing between enclosures of Maremma cows and sheep. Here, flight demonstrations and hunting simulations are scheduled, involving both adults and children. The evening continues with a Maremma-style dinner in the pine forest, prepared with products from the agriturismo; during dinner, it is possible to continue approaching the birds of prey, always assisted by the falconers.
The experience took place on Tuesdays in July and August 2026. The 2026 individual season has ended. The indicated times are: gates open at 6:45 PM, entertainment starts at 7:00 PM, and dinner at 8:15 PM. The meeting point is Agriturismo La Pulledraia, at Strada del Molinaccio 10, Alberese. A sweatshirt is recommended, especially for children, as the activity takes place outdoors in the countryside. The fee included participation in the activities and the Maremma dinner with wine and drinks.
